Prices are indicative and change periodically. Always check current government travel advisories before booking any DR Congo itinerary — parts of the eastern region have experienced periods of instability, and conditions can change quickly.
We’re a Uganda specialist because Rushaga is, at the time of writing, the only sector anywhere offering the extended Gorilla Habituation Experience. Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park is excellent for standard trekking — genuinely easier logistics, a shorter drive from the airport — but it doesn’t currently sell a habituation-style extended permit.
DR Congo’s Virunga National Park can be considerably cheaper per permit and includes access to habituated families, but the security situation in eastern DRC has been inconsistent, and we don’t currently operate trips there as a result.
