Four Gorillas Lodge is an eco-friendly, 4-star property built in traditional African style — grass-thatched roofs and natural local wood throughout — a short drive from Rushaga park headquarters. Eight en-suite cottages are split across single, double, twin, triple and family configurations, so it works equally well for a couple upgrading for their habituation trip and a multi-generation family booking the whole lodge.
What sets it apart in Rushaga is the amenity list: a health and fitness centre, sauna and steam bath, massage services, a business centre, and 24-hour room service — unusual for a lodge this close to the trailhead. It’s the property we recommend most often for our Habituation & Photography Safari guests, since the extra comfort and later checkout flexibility matter after the longer four-hour observation days.
