Gorilla Trekking Safaris
Gorilla safari is an amazing and breathtaking experience like no other. This is a very unique activity which engages gorilla trackers into hiking up and down through the thick vegetation of the forest and mountains as they follow different gorilla trails and observing silence to enjoy the sounds of the jungle until when you encounter with the gentle giants. This activity needs one to be physically fit or else you will need to hire potters to carry you and you will need comfortable trekking shoes or boots that will enable you to walk through slippery trails of the forest in order to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience. These human-like creatures live in families or groups where a silverback dominates the group, only a maximum number of 8 trackers are allowed to track a particular group of gorillas and trackers are given one hour with the mountain gorillas.
Mountain Gorilla trekking can only be done in three Africa countries, this is Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. And this can be carried out in the jungles of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, volcanoes National park and Virunga National park. One will need a gorilla permit to enjoy this activity in any of the above countries, a gorilla permit in Uganda is $ 700USD, and in Rwanda, it is $ 1500USD and finally $ 400USD in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
