This 3 Day gorilla Trekking safari takes you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. The forest covers an area of 321sq kilometer and it is believed to the oldest everlasting tropical rain forest of over 25,000 years.
This 3 days gorilla trekking safari takes you to trek one of the 14 habituated Gorilla groups in Bwindi forest. Besides trekking mountain gorillas, you will be able to see other primates like red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees in the kyambura Gorge, Baboons, black and white Columbus monkeys.
The forest is habitat to over 120 mammals, over 51 reptiles, over 310 butterflies, over 27 species of frogs, chameleons, different tree species, over 1000 flowering plants and over 350 species of birds such as hornbills, Turaco among others.

Detailed itinerary for 3 Day Gorilla Trekking safari in Bwindi Forest National Park
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Upon arrival at the Airport (Entebbe/Kigali), you will be picked by your Driver traveling south western part of Uganda towards Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
You will make a stopover at the Equator for photographs and historical talks; embark to the journey with another stop in Mbarara for Lunch at Agip Motel. Continue to the park and check in to your lodge upon arrival.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi forest
After a morning breakfast at your lodge, head to the park quarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts. After the briefing enter into the thick rain forest of Bwindi to search for mountain gorillas
Once you meet the Mountain Gorillas, you are allowed one hour with them for interactions and photographs. Later you will return back to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you may decide to visit the Batwa community or relax at your lodge.
Note searching for the Gorillas takes unpredictable time.
Day 3: End of 3 day gorilla trekking safari
After a morning breakfast, embark to the journey to Kampala as you will pass through the rolling hills with terraces. A stop in Mbarara for lunch and a second stop at Mpambire drum makers point. Continue to Kampala to catch your Return flight.

About Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
Bwindi forest is located in the south western part of Uganda besides the Great western Rift Valley. The park is a home to almost half the remaining mountain Gorillas in the world. The park hosts over 750 mountains gorillas and other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white Columbus monkeys and chimpanzees among others.
Besides the Mountain Gorillas and Primates, the park is a home to a variety of bird species, tree species, butterflies species, frogs, Reptiles among others. Gorilla trekking is done with a valid gorilla trekking permit which goes for $600 per person.
Mountain Gorilla trekking is the most interesting activity which does not require any skill but a physically fit person while traveling on Uganda safari. Gorilla trekking in Uganda can be done all through around the year.
Weather conditions in Bwindi forest
The total annual rainfall is about 1,400mm and 1,900mm. However more rains are received in March and April. The altitude of the park varies from 1,190m-2,607m above sea level.

The park hosts over 350 bird species including over 23 species Albertine rift endemic species.
